A special belnd of cotton linter and paper fibers was processed to create a pulp that was compressed onto a mold form. It takes several days to dry. The process of unmolding has to be done slowly so as to reain as much detail as possible. It requiers additional drying times and then it is sealed with several coats of paint to add durability and strength. Then it is layers with several coats of paints, pumice, and actual mica flakes in order to give it the true look and texture of ancient stone.
The art is placed on a blue/green handmade paper and framed in a black wooden shadowbox frame measuring 14 sq in.
